Needle clamp attachment screw to be used as a replacement screw for models with a short needle clamp screw.
This will allow your machine to use pressure feet which are activated by the up and down movement of the needle bar; such as : walking foot, free motion/darning foot, ruffler/pleating foot and some old style buttonhole attachments.

To properly seat or mesh the new screw into your needle clamp: first install screw without a needle; turn screw all the way in, it’s in the last 1/4 turn or so that you may experience a slight resistance, continue slightly past this resistance, you should have achieved a proper mesh at this point, now back screw off enough to properly insert a new needle and tighten screw enough to secure the needle ( test by pulling down on needle to verify a proper fit ) . If you need additional help in securing a good mesh the new screw takes a 3mm hex tool, do not over tighten.
